The successful presentation of Turner, De Vito and Douglas leads to a continuation – “The Jewel of the Nile” in 1989 – a black comedy for one unpleasant divorce. The trio again plays in the movie “The War of the Roses” („Войната на семейство Роуз”) in 1985. A year earlier Douglas establishes the producing company that directs many big movies such as “Made in America”, („Направено в Америка), The Ghost and the Darkness („Призракът и мракът”), “A Perfect Murderer” („Перфектният убиец”) etc.

In 1987 Michael Douglas makes two movies that are a reflection to his dark side. In “Fatal Attraction” („Фатално превличане”) plays the role of a man, who is punished for his love flirts in the past by paying too high price in the present – he is been chased by his mentally unstable ex lover /Glen Close/.

In his second movie – Walls Street, Michael plays the role of Gordon Greco – a freaky employee in a corporation whose motto is “Greediness is a virtue”. Greco brings him also the first Oscar for best actor.

Except his numerous awards, Michael is famous also for his bad temper, as well as with his sexual addiction. Through all these of marriage the actor denies absolutely normally all the rumors for his many lovers. But actually he has affairs almost with all of his movie partners – Glen Close, Sharon Stone, Cathleen Turner and others famous and not so famous women. Every new flirt of Michael means many countless tears and sleepless nights for Diandra. She often threatens him with divorce, but she definitely got enough when she finds out about his affair with one of her best friends. Michael Douglas loves and respects his wife, he wants to be faithful to her, but he cannot resist the temptation. Diandra accepts the failure to prove that his different with absolutely not affection, feelings or tears and grief and she is determined to put an end to her marriage once and for all. His son Cameron also has problems, he is in a tough age, he cannot the right tone for communication with his parents, and he starts trying more and more often alcohol and drugs. Michael suffers a lot due to the problems in his family and often in interviews he admits that it is entirely his fault. After all, after 23 years marriage Michael Douglas and Diandra Lucker get divorced and the actor is pronounced to be a Don Juan. He gets the label from his ex wife.

Till the endless suit for the divorce Michael is captivated by the beauty of one Wales actress – Catherine-Zeta Jones. He tries to set up a date with her via his personal assistant, but she always turns down the offers saying that she is too busy.
