Linda Evangelista is born on May 10^th, 1965 in Canada. Her father and her two brothers work in the near automobile factory. The little lady grows up and is brought up in the spirit of the Italian traditions. When she has been at the age of 12 she decides firmly that she would like to become a model. Her ambition and the desire are so strong that she manages to convince everyone around her. In July 2003 a star with her name has been made officially at the Alley of fame in Toronto. Linda invites two of her school teachers to the ceremony. It is one of these teachers that writes down into Linda’s child diary: I am sure that one day I will see you smiling from the covers of Vogue.

Her mother Marissa registered the little doll in a school for models. At the age of 15 Linda participates in the beauty concourse Mini Miss Niagara. She does not win the crown, but exactly at this stage she was noticed by a model expert from Elite agency. After graduating from school, her parents let her call the business card that she received at that competition. And the shiny road towards Olimp starts from that moment on.

In New York Linda Evangelista signs her first contract with fashion house Elite. Her next step is conquering Paris, where unfortunately she needs to accept every single offer for pictures in magazines and advertising catalogs so that she can make a living. It takes three years to make her name famous in the fashion etalon – Vogue. It’s worth waiting and the Canadian top model with Italian origin benefits a magnificent job, plus very competitive bonuses and royalties. The offers are flying from everywhere. Her unusually beautiful face with well formed cheeks and her blue-grayish cat eyes appear at the cover of all prestigious magazines around the world: Vogue, Marie Claire, Harper's Bazaar и Elle.

Linda is hired also as an advertising face in campaigns for giants like Alberta Ferretti, American Express, Anne Klein, Barney's, Bloomingdale's, Calvin Klein, Chanel, Chloé, Dolce & Gabbana, Donna Karan, Gianni Versace, Hermès, Perry Ellis, Ralph Lauren, Jill Sander, Valentino, Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Dior makeup and Jones New York.

Except with her beauty and charm, Linda is also known with her very whimsical attitude. While other models happily give interviews behind the scenes of the fashion reviews, Evangelista stays away from the microphones and does not smile very kindly.

“Nobody would ever believe it, but I was really ashamed.During the fashion defile I did not feel embarrassed because to me this is just work. On stage I am confident and feel safe. However, when people with cameras and microphones showed up, I used to lose my ability to speak. I used to become nervous and too emotional, which people interpreted as a sign of pompous personality”, confesses in an interview today the top model.

The natural brunette Linda Evangelista tries all kinds of hair colors – only for the short period of 4 years she changed her hair style and color 17 times: blonde, red haired and brunette with shiny shades. Women all over the world copy her every next whim with the hair. What’s so unique about Linda is that all her hair styles and colors suit her well. For her ability to change so effectively the belle receives the pseudonym the Chameleon.

She dreams to have the lips of Christi Turlington, but she has been exposing herself to the knife of modern surgery only for an surgery of her lungs. /”since then I have a huge beautiful mark on my breast”/. Now she is smoothing her wrinkles with botox and she is not ashamed to admit it.

She is highly appreciated by the designers due to her unique ability and talent to play different roles in front of the camera. She is like a lonely bush that you can decorate in any way you like. It is not me on the pictures. This is just a game. In my photographs you can see just a little bit of me, of my character. You see my make up, my hair style and not the very me. “Do you understand?”, Tells Linda. A big number of fashion experts claim that the world recognition of Linda as a very successful model is not due to her outwards beauty, but thanks to her iron will.

In the beginning of the 90s Linda Evangelista, Christi Turlington and Naomi Campbell turn into the 3 most desired models in the fashion industry.  The bell becomes a part of the documentary project for the New York designer Isaac Mizhari, except that she is one of the main characters starring in the documentary movie of the supermodel Christi Turlington – Catwalk. Linda also stars in two video clips of George Michael – Freedom 90 and Too Funky. In 1996 she received the award VH1 Fashion Awards Lifetime achievement award – a confession that she is one of the most famous, loved, popular and richest models in the world.

Today Linda admits that she loves to play poker and plus, not with a man, but with her two friends and competitors – Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell. She smokes a lot and is between the few women that can be noticed with a cigar. Plus, she adores roaming around shops and buying clothes. The fashionable and stylish dress is a real passion for Linda.

Evangelista uses her fame also for charity purposes. Due to the fact that both of her grandmothers have suffered from breast cancer, Linda joins to Bryan Adams’s charity action for compiling financials in support of the investigations of breast cancer. She also actively participates in charity programs for fight against AIDS.

 IN 2005 Linda Evangelista shocked the society and the public opinion with a phrase that made her even more famous: “I would not get up from my bed for less than 10 000 $ a day”. “These words chase me everywhere. I told this so long ago, now I am a completely different person. Today I get up from bed for much more important reasons. Currently I am a part of the team that collects funds dedicated to the fight against HIV and AIDS.”

Her personal life of a beautiful and glamorous woman is not marked only with happiness. In 1997 Linda marries Jerald Marry, who is the boss of the Paris agency Elite. A marriage follows 6 years later. Linda moves into the country of unlimited opportunities, where she meets the actor Kyle Macloun, known to the Bulgarian audience from movies like Twin peaks, The sex and the city and Desperate housewives. What follows is a passionate love story and afterwards again everybody continues his or her way alone. The decision of Linda to stop her unusual career has been very surprising and shocking for everybody. At the age of 35, changed with a new hair style, claims that she would like to settle down, have a family and a child. The happy guy is the soccer player in Manchester United Fabian Bartes. The green-eyed nymph finally is happy and pregnant, when very abruptly in the 6^th month she loses the baby. Fabian is next to her in these hard times, but after all the couple breaks up.

On October 11^th 2006 was born the son of the model – Augustine James Evangelista. Linda admits honestly that she intends to come back to the fashion glory stage.

The fashion is everything for Linda and exactly because she is a Queen on the stage. Her romance with the fashion is her only love!
