Jana wants a leading part

I’m waiting for my interlocutress in a big metropolitan store. It’s raining outside, it’s just like a fairytale. In spite of the weather and the fact that she’s coming from Bansko, she’s almost right on time. She’s unrecognizable with her white fluffy hat. Maybe that’s also a way to avoid the people’s attention.
Jana Taneva is 24 years old, born in Stara Zagora under the sign of Scorpio. Last year she graduated Sofia University with Tourism.

Jana, do you have any plans after your contract with “Masters of the Air” expires?
I have many ideas – I want to be in a TV show and at the same time I wish to develop myself in my major field. I don’t know how they might combine, time will tell.

I read in an interview of yours that you want to host a tourism theme TV show?
Yes, because there’s no greater pleasure than travelling and the hosts of such television shows are travelling all around the world. While travelling everyone can learn a lot.

And the bad weather, the fogs, the endless waiting at the airports – doesn’t all that bother you?
Those are minor things that no one should mind. Recently I had an experience I’ll never forget. It took me 8 hours to get to Sofia from Bansko. In general I like the sunny destinations and I’ll direct my steps to them.

Would you like to be in a movie?
I wish I could be in one but so far I haven’t had any particular suggestions.

And how did you decide to go to the casting for an adrenalin girl?
I was still with my ex-boyfriend at that time, I heard on the radio that there’s going to be a casting but I didn’t take that seriously. He was the one that encouraged me and supported me until the end. For me that was a nice summer emotion but I didn’t really think they could choose me.

How many girls were participating?
At first we were about 700, then 140 remained, then 40 and at the end – 16 from which remained three couples and they chose ours.
When you saw so many beautiful girls there, what did you think?
I didn’t imagine I could be chosen.

How do you think you won them over?
Maybe with a smile, radiance, because I’m a very optimistic person. Maybe they also saw that I’m really willing to work.

Which were the members of the jury?
On the first casting in Sofia they were team members of the show – producers, sponsors, our choreographer. On the next two there were also people from the public space but I don’t remember well.

Did you chose to be in a couple with Yana?
No, that was a decision of the producers.

Is she a natural blonde?
No, she’s a brunette under cover, but since one of us had to be blonde and I’m the person who would make the worst blonde ever, she became the blonde one.

Yana is planning a wedding this year, how about you?
I don’t have such plans, I don’t even have a boyfriend right now.

What’s your ideal of a man?
I don’t have one. When you meet someone and you could feel something in his eyes, feel the chemicals between you, then you know that’s the person for you.

Have you met him so far?
Yes, I have.

And what was he like?
He was of normal height, light eyes and dark hair. Maybe that’s my ideal of a man.

What happen with him?
In time we decided that we’re not made for each other and we split up. You can’t marry the first person you loved. In fact you can but it just didn’t happen to me.

Is he in another relationship by now?
I don’t know.

If he asks you to come back, would you do it?
I don’t think I would.

There are many suitors around you, which famous faces have impressed you the most?

Krasi Radkov for instance, he’s so funny, like Rachkov and Zueka, in a strictly professional way of course.

There were rumors in the yellow press that before the start of the show you and Yana were in intimate relations with people from the show?
That’s not true, they wrote such things at the beginning, when we started but there’s no such thing.

How long does it take for you to get ready in the morning?
I don’t need more than 25-30 minutes, from the time I wake up to moment I walk out the door.

Which are your favorite colors?
The colors don’t work on me a lot but for the summer I prefer the fresh and colorful clothes and black during the winter for practical reasons. The more colorful I’m dressed the more energy I have.

What is your style of clothing?
Sport-elegant. I could be seen wearing something elegant and never – a suit. In every day life I’m completely casual.

What cosmetics do you use?
I’ve always felt tempted by he expensive cosmetic products but I’ve heard that it’s better to use it after 27 because it contains a Q10 enzyme and it’s not suitable for young skin. Anyhow I use cosmetic products from the middle class like Nivea and Avene, sometimes Lancome and I prefer the moisturizing products because my skin is very dry.

And what colors do you prefer for a make-up?
I’m putting on stronger make-up only for the show while in my every day life I use mascara and a lip-gloss. I don’t like to wear make-up, only if I go out at night.

Which countries did you visit abroad?
I’ve been in Austria, Hungary, Italy, France and Greece.

Would you like to settle down somewhere?
Yes, Italy. That’s my favorite destination both for winter and summer resorts. I’m studying Italian because I like the language as well as the country.

And do you like the Italian man?
No, they’re too polished and I like men to be more negligee. They’re always wearing suits and have too much brilliantine on their hair and I don’t like that. I’m not so impressed from what I’ve seen. Bulgarian men are something completely different.

They say that Bulgarian men are more rough and uncouth?
Maybe that’s true but that has it’s own charm. It’s true in general but after all it depends on the person.

What’s your opinion of the plastic surgery? Is there anything you want to change in your appearance?
I have nothing against it but I haven’t tried it myself. If in the future I decide to make a correction, it will be on my breasts, maybe a little bit bigger. But my enormous fear of such manipulations would probably stop me from doing it.

What do you think of the fact that so many people from the showbiz use the plastic surgery?
I think some of them go too far. If do something like that I wouldn’t demonstrate it that much. Like one girl, I think she was a TV host, had her pictures taken during her operation and then she made a photo shoot for Playboy.

Would you make a photo shoot for Playboy?
No.

Even if they offer you a good deal?
I wouldn’t do such thing even for a great deal of money. The session for Maxim was enough.

In your opinion which is the most erotic part of a woman’s body? For some the world famous designers for instance it’s the neck, for others – the ankle?
Starting from the top to the bottom – first the lips, then the tummy and finally the butt.

Does that apply to you? Are you trying to underline those parts of your body?
Yes, that applies to me.

And what do you like the most about yourself?
I’m quite critical towards myself. I didn’t like my butt before but since I’m working out in the gym, I think it looks way better.

How long have you been working out?
Almost an year now.

How many times per week do you rehearse with Yana?
Twice per week for two hours and a half.

Have you trained anything else?
I was practicing Thae-Bo for two years and half before I became an adrenalin girl, it’s a way to keep a good shape. But I needed to make some muscles and that’s why I stopped practicing Thae-Bo and started working out at the gym.

Which other sport do you enjoy?
Figure skating, it’s a very beautiful sport. There’s so much artistic beauty and grace in it and I adore watching it.

Would you start practicing?
I go to ice skating but only as an amateur.

What do you think about the case of Maxim Staviski?
I think that shouldn’t happen but after all he was driving after the use of alcohol. Fate knows its ways and maybe in that case she showed him that he shouldn’t do things like this.

Do you think Albena and he should continue figure skating on competitions?
They must go on. That’s a tragedy that can’t be neglected by any means but he has to learn from it and go on. I think that they’re unique sportsmen for Bulgaria and they brought us much glory.

What would you say about our national sport football of which everyone understands?
I don’t know anything about football and I’m not a fan of any team.

Do you know any football players?
Yes, I do.

And do they hit on you? Because most of the beautiful women in Bulgaria bind themselves with football players.
I wouldn’t say so.

Do you think there could be room for two stars in the family?
I think that one is enough.

Would you like your man to live in your shadow?
Not at all first of all because I don’t think of myself as a star and second because I wouldn’t the man beside me to live in someone else’s shadow.

Would you come back to live in your hometown Stara Zagora?
No but I often go there to visit my parents and they often come here to see me. But to go back there for good, maybe not.

If you don’t become a host of a TV show about tourism and travel after “Masters of the Air” what would you do?
That thing with the show was just a joke. I think to do something serious but I really don’t have any idea just yet. I’ve decided that the fate will show me the right way.

How much time left to be an adrenaline girl?
At least till the end of the season. And then we’ll see…

Do you have any cravings?
As every woman, lately I like to indulge myself with different Spa procedures. Another craving of mine is the chocolate, everyone knows that. Every morning I eat something sweet for breakfast, I can’t eat anything else.

And fears?
All my friends know that I’m scared of lightning and thunders but on the other hand I adore watching popular science films about nature disasters. I’m also afraid of the dark.

Are you scared of a high speed?
No, I adore the high speed.

Saint Valentine’s Day is coming, what present do you expect?
As every woman I like being surprised but it depends from whom.
