Hi, Jan! I am very pleased to see you again! How do you feel 5 years after our last meeting?
I feel great; I have even become a little wiser since then.
Tell us something about your new collection?
The current collection is from couture and the next one is going to be introduced in July during the week of Avangard fashion in Paris. This will be the first step towards my new image.
Why did you choose exactly the Swiss embassy for your fashion show?
First of all, because I myself am a Swiss and this place is very swagger. Moreover, it is decorated in the Barock style and my collection is modernistic and steeped in with futurism, so I can achieve interaction like for In and Ian.
This collection is definitely very attractive; however, what exactly inspired you to make it?
The movie “The extraterrestrial” gave me a hint about few ideas and also that did some of the photos of Helmut Newton. Generally my inspiration was a combination of those two thinks.
Who are your favorite models?
To me it does not matter whether the models are famous or not. I do not have favorite models. I have chosen totally unknown names, but perfect ones.
Although you are very popular in Bulgaria, your clothes can not be found here. Therefore I invite you to join our Fashion fiesta Albena 2008, starting on 17th of June.
Yes, of course. I will come! No problem! You are organizing a week of the fashion there, aren’t you? I promise that this time I will visit you.
Why did you replace with a costume your favorite t-shirt with which you always used to go out on your fashion reviews?
Oo, this was a long time ago.
Now you are very officially dressed.
No, I wouldn’t say so. I wear jeans underneath the skirt, plus it is obvious that I am very old now.
How come old, you are 39-years old now?
No, I am 70-73 years old, however I am fresh, intact and in a good shape for my age.
What are the tendencies for next winter?
According to me the silhouette is going to be highlighted with kind of like “architectural” means: huge shoulders, black and/or dark clothes etc. This black color is very beautiful, there is something fantastic in it, something spectral.
And what is going to happen with your favorite silver color?
This is a light color, so it is just fine to combine it with the black.
What about the red, your most preferred color?
Yes, the red is always my favorite color. In this collection there is very little red, it presents just like a gentle touch. I like the red; it is the color of the passion, delight and pleasure.
When are your next fashion defiles going to take place?
In July and October and I would like to use this opportunity to invite you to them, Mariana!
