American heiress

Тhe miniseries in tracking the life of the main character Elizabeth Wakefield , played by Alisa Leigh Willis. The camera is observing the exciting trip of the youngest daughter from the rich family Wakefield from the damp rainy forests to the high levels of the business class surroundings. After the terrifying accident with the family airplane, the rich heiress falls in love with her friend and savior – the ex pilot of Air Force Jay di Bruce / Carter McCinter/.

Surviving after the airplane crash in Guatemala, Elizabeth turns out lost in the jungle. The rescuing teams do not find the place of the bloody tragedy and her family thinks she is dead and stops all attempts to find her. Despite that Elizabeth is not alone. Beside her is Captain Jay di Bruce who saves her life after the severe accident. The two of them need to resist the challenges of the wild nature – to find food, shelter and way through the jungle that will lead them home.

In the meantime the severe conditions cause them to become dearer and closer to each other, after Jay Di rescues Elizabeth from the dangers hidden away from the civilization that they know.

Returning back home, the two young people face the next big challenge –the role of the unknown jungle as a threat is now taken by the relatives of the girl. The couple in love has to stand up and face the desire of the family to terminate their relationship.

Lionel Wakefield is ahead of the empire Wakefield. He is proud father of 5 children and a huge and famous businessman. His elder son Damien WAKEFIELD is greedy and vindictive. His desire for victory at any price does not allow him to stop in front of anything, leaded by the idea to fulfill his selfish goals, even if this means to bring to nothing each and every attempt to save his sister Elizabeth.

The intrigue becomes even more complex after the banished from the family mother – Jordan Wakefield, appears in order to point out some expectations towards the rich family.

The main producer of the series Colette Abedi shares in her interviews that to the original Mexican story she has add only dirty dialogs and rough fights. The movie sequences combine the exotic of the South American nature and the shine of the rich life.

The debut of the series is on 13 March 2007 on the American channel MyNetworkTV.

The TV novel American heiress is a remake of the Mexican series “The heiress” featuring Silvia Navarro and Sergio Basabes that was broadcasted in Bulgaria on Evrokom TV.

The producers intend to name the series “To love and die”, but after making a special research it has been decided the name of the movie to stay Heiress, but with the addition “American”.

Despite the fact that already 65 series have been created from the romantic melodrama, only 26 have been broadcasted so far.

„Cadillac”, „Lexus” и „Jaguar” are only a part of the sponsors of the one of the most shining series of Fox – American Heiress.
